We
do these fun runs instead of traditional classes during the summer.
As you can see, we decided to do the Advanced runs on BOTH Tuesday and
Wednesday nights. For all participatns, you can pay a discounted rate
for all 11 weeks or pay for just the weeks you come.
The cost is $10 per dog per class for non-members, $7 per dog per class
for members. Or $90 for the whole summer package for non-members and
$60 for members. The cost for Junior Handlers is $3 per class or $30
for the whole summer.
To participate, the dog must have completed at least one session of
classes with Jumping Chollas this past class year.
The runs are at the Booker site, 25038 N. 17th Ave., Phoenix, AZ.
Unless
noted otherwise, the Summer Fun Runs start at 7:15 p.m. and end about
9:30 p.m. The events are the same for Advanced (which is on Tuesdays
AND Wednesdays) and for Novice (on Thursdays), although, of course,
the courses are harder for Advanced. Also, the Novice classes include
instruction on the how to run each event, and on the rules and strategies.
For the Advanced classes, you should already be familiar with the rules
and strategies for that event, and be able to work a more difficult
course.

As usual,
we will have Nationals practice for dogs going to one of the agility
Championship competitions (NADAC, ASCA, USDAA, or AKC) in September,
on the 6th (Tuesday), the 8th (Thursday), the 13th (Tuesday), the 15th
(Thursday), the 20th (Tuesday), and the 22nd (Thursday).
Fall classes
are scheduled to begin on September 27, 2005. Because of the rain, the
site survey for our new site was delayed, so our expanded class schedule
probably won’t be in effect for the September session, unless
we are pretty lucky and the County acts faster than we think on our
Special Use permit for the new site.
